Fortnite Birthday Party Ideas

Fortnite Birthday Party Ideas

Fortnite is a hugely popular multi-player action building game that has captured the attention of millions of players across the world. If your kid has a birthday coming up, chances are they’re asking for a Fortnite party!

Luckily, there are tons of fun Fortnite party ideas you can easily incorporate into your celebration. Whether you like to DIY your party decorations or purchase all your décor online, I’ve got you covered with this comprehensive list of Fortnite birthday party ideas.

What is Fortnite?

Before we get started, let’s talk a little bit about this unique game, which is broken into two different gameplay arenas. Fortnite’s Save the World campaign gives your kids and their friends a chance to rebuild a land that was left empty by a mysterious darkness called “The Storm.”

Throughout the game, the heroes are tasked with building elaborate forts, finding or building weapons, and creating traps to protect their town from monsters.

In the Battle Royale game, players must build forts and find weapons to protect themselves from the other heroes playing on the map. This 100-player, player-vs-player version of the game requires gamers to battle each other until only one player is left standing.

Fortnite Birthday Party Design Themes

The overall theme of the game’s design is post-apocalyptic. The characters dress in wacky, futuristic outfits ranging from punk rock style garb to military apparel. Those themes continue throughout the look of the game, which means that your party should include design details like camouflage and natural elements like wood, as well as brightly colored accents and bold visual elements.

In addition to using elements from the game itself, you could also consider adding gaming elements to your party’s design. Balloons with gaming controllers or tableware with video game designs would bring great fun to your Fortnite party. And military-style design elements, like camouflage tablecloths or a birthday banner, would also work well as accents for your party’s overall style.

Must-Have Items

Whether your kids enjoy playing the Save the World campaign or taking part in Battle Royale, there are a few different components that are essential to a good Fortnite party. These must-have décor and food items will take your Fortnite birthday party to the next level.

Supply Drop

Supply drops float down from the sky in a blue box with a yellow balloon on top. They bring the player essential power-ups that can help them throughout the game. To incorporate supply drops into your Fortnite party, tie yellow balloons to blue favor bags and pass them out as the kids leave to say, “Thanks for coming!”

Loot Llama

Loot Llamas are coveted rewards in Fortnite. In Battle Royale, they contain much-needed building supplies, traps, and ammunition. And in the Save the World game, Loot Llamas can be earned during game play or purchased in the game store. Since the Loot Llama looks like a piñata, this Fortnite birthday party decoration is a must. You could try to make your own or order one on Amazon.

Slurp Juice or Chug Jug

Slurp Juice or chug jugs are used to give the players additional health and a stronger shield. And it couldn’t be simpler to add them to your Fortnite birthday party plan. Both drinks are blue, making blue Gatorade or Kool-Aid the perfect drink for your party.

Medkit

These much-needed healing kits are found in the Battle Royale version of the game. They will restore a player’s health to 100, so adding them to your Fortnite party in some form is a good idea. Rice Krispies treats with red crosses on them make great medkits or you could wrap some chocolate bars in red paper with a white cross for a simple favor or decoration.

V-Bucks

V-Bucks are the in-game currency in Fortnite (they’re short for Vindertech Bucks or Vinderbucks). They can be used to purchase items from the in-game store and can be earned by completing quests and missions in the game. To incorporate V-Bucks into your Fortnite birthday party, consider recreating the coin’s design on a cookie or covering chocolate coins in a V-Bucks logo for a fun party favor.

Weapons

There are a variety of different weapons throughout both versions of the game, making them a pretty essential item to include. Some weapons, like spears and scythes, can be constructed using basic items like wood, twine, or duct tape. Other weapons that appear in the games can include guns, axes, and explosives.

To incorporate weapons in your Fornite party plan, add some plastic axes or spears to your décor or let your kids have fun outside with Nerf guns and fun Fortnite targets.

Treasure Chests

Similar to Loot Llamas, treasure chests are filled with valuable items like traps or weapons that can help them in the game. Use treasure chests to display your party food or fill up small treasure chest treat boxes for the kids to take home after the party.

Apples

Apples can give your character a boost in health when eaten right away, and you can find them scattered throughout the map for a quick pick-me-up. You can easily incorporate a few apples in your décor as a nod to the fruits that appear in the game.
